Paint Shop Pro Tutorials

Paint Shop Pro is a great program that has some really cool built-in tools that will make editing your photos easy. It has a tendency to be a little "buggy", and crash more frequently than Photoshop, so keep that in mind, and save often. All of these tutorials are written for beginners, and assuming that you know essentially nothing of the program. These photo and image editing tutorials for Paint Shop Pro are meant to assist you in creating beautiful photos to use on your website or for print. At this time, support is not offered for the tutorials, and any technical questions involving Paint Shop Pro should be directed to the Help section of your software.

Quick Tips

There is an enormous difference between web graphics and print graphics. Basically it comes down to the fact that images made for print are GIGANTIC compared to images made for use on the web. Remember this!

One of the most important things when trying to create good photos of your products is to understand your camera. There's no way around it...unfortunately you really do need to read that boring manual if you want quality images.

When saving an image for use on the web, click on File-->Export-->JPEG Optimizer. For most photos set the compression value to 10-15, and click OK.
